Jumper Bumblebee: Affordable Portable FPV Controller with ExpressLRS

An Affordable Portable Alternative
Hello everyone! Jumper-RC, a well-known developer in the hobbyist community, recently released a new affordable portable FPV controller that has quickly gained popularity. The Jumper Bumblebee is a compact controller (160×128×68 cm) with improved ergonomics and design, built on the advanced STM32F407VGT6 microcontroller. Weighing in at 240 grams, its key features include high-precision hall sensor gimbals, a built-in ExpressLRS 2.4 GHz module with adjustable power up to 1000 mW, a bay for an external mini transmitter module, and built-in memory (without a microSD card slot). Let's dive in!
Versions
The Jumper Bumblebee is offered in two frequency versions: 2.4 GHz and 915 MHz.
Interface
The remote control runs on the EdgeTX operating system. At its center is a 1.3-inch monochrome OLED screen with a resolution of 128 × 64 pixels, three buttons, a scroll wheel, and six other assignable function buttons. It features high-precision hall sensor gimbals with an improved stick design, allowing comfortable piloting with both classic and thumb-stick grips. There are also two 3-position switches, two buttons, two standard switches, and two rotary encoders.
Other Features
The T-shaped antenna is foldable and rotatable. Built-in Hi-Fi speakers and an active cooling system prevent overheating. A nano-port on the rear panel allows for the installation of an external transmitter module with a different radio protocol (ELR, CRS, and Tracer Nano).
A USB-C port allows for quick charging (using two 18650 batteries; purchased separately) and connection to a computer for simulator use. A 3.5 mm output is also available for simulator connection. A separate boot button is provided for firmware updates. Finally, a removable front panel allows for quick color changes. Panel colors (purchased separately) include: Blue/Yellow/Purple/Mint Green/Lilac Pink/White Platinum.
Availability and Price
The Jumper Bumblebee is available from various online retailers for $112.
