GePRC Unveils Vapor-D5/D6 and Vapor-X5 FPV Drones with DJI O4 Pro

GePRC, a well-known FPV drone developer, has announced the release of its 5 and 6-inch "Vapor" series drones, now equipped with the latest DJI O4 Air Unit Pro digital FPV video system. This update builds upon the existing popular designs.

What's New?

The series retains the "Dead Cat" and "Wide-X" (optional) carbon fiber frame designs. The 5mm thick carbon fiber arms are easily replaceable, secured by 2 screws. Side panels improve flight characteristics, provide efficient ventilation, and protect the electronics during crashes.

Frame, Electronics, and Power The core electronics remain the same: a GEP-F722-HD v2 flight controller with barometer-altimeter, paired with a Taker H60 60A 4-in-1 ESC. Motors are SpeedX2 2207E 1960KV brushless motors, used with Gemfan 5136 5-inch propellers.

Power is supplied via an XT60 connector. Recommended batteries are 6S LiPo batteries with capacities ranging from 1300 to 1800 mAh, offering a flight time of 14-19 minutes under calm conditions.

DJI O4 Pro Integration

The DJI O4 Pro video module is housed at the rear of the frame, providing easy access to the microSD card, USB-C port, and pairing button. The camera mount has been redesigned to accommodate the video system. The camera is slightly recessed for impact protection with aluminum plates, and the antenna mount has been redesigned for dual antennas.

How Much Does It Cost?

The 5-inch Vapor-D5 and Vapor-X5 HD O4 Pro start at $420 USD directly from the GePRC website (excluding shipping and taxes). The 6-inch Vapor-D6 HD O4 Pro is priced from $430 USD. Optional extras include ExpressLRS 2.4 GHz or Crossfire Nano RX receivers, and a GPS module.
