Key Features
Frame:
The Spectre 7 features a proprietary X-shaped carbon fiber frame with open-type arms, designed using a "truss" system. This provides an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and exceptional resistance to twisting, according to the developers. For improved aerodynamics and protection of electronics from dust and dirt, the frame includes a 2RAW aerodynamic shell. High-stress areas like arm ends, internal joints, and GoPro mounts are made of aluminum for simplified assembly and exceptional durability. Access to electronics is via a quick-release central fairing. Integrated LED lighting enhances visibility in low-light conditions. Dimensions are 232 × 201 × 62 mm, with a frame diagonal of 306 mm.
Flight Controller, ESCs, and Motors:
The Spectre utilizes a Thunder H7 flight controller paired with Blitz E55 (55A) 4-in-1 ESCs. The motor configuration consists of four Xing2 2806.5 1400KV brushless motors and Gemfan 7043 3-blade propellers.
Video System, Power, and GPS Module:
A DJI O3 Air Unit provides the digital FPV video system, offering an FHD video link with under 30ms latency and 4K video recording at 120fps in 10-bit D-Cinelike color profile. Power is supplied by a 6S battery, with iFlight promising 26 minutes of flight time with a 6S 5600mAh LiPo and 30 minutes with a 6S 8000mAh Li-Ion. A full-sized GPS module compatible with GPS, Galileo, and Glonass systems is included for Betaflight's "GPS Rescue" function. The unique frame design and GoPro mounting system prevent propellers from entering the frame during filming, whether using the DJI O3 or a GoPro.
Availability and Price:
The iFlight Specter 7 is available for pre-order at a starting price of $766 (excluding shipping and taxes) from the manufacturer's website. Sales are expected to begin in early January 2025.
